Graphic Design Portfolio

Hi, My Name is Ben

With over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer, my journey began as an in-house ministry designer for RU Recovery Ministries, a church-based addiction program. Transitioning into freelance design, I continued to serve churches and businesses with tailored design solutions. Alongside traditional graphic design, I have extensive experience using Adobe Dimensions to create 3D images and scenes. This includes crafting realistic badge images for two different Sheriff Departments to enhance their marketing efforts, as well as producing 3D product images for mockups and marketing materials. Brand identity design is also a large part of my design experience. Additionally, my extensive experience working closely with printers has equipped me with a deep understanding of the printing process. I am fluent in printer lingo and well-versed in various printing techniques, allowing me to oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional results.

Books, Brochures, Cards, Catalogs, and more

My expertise and focus for much of my design career has been leveraging the power of Adobe InDesign. As a seasoned designer, with years of experience, I’ve mastered the art of crafting captivating layouts and compelling designs that speak volumes. From books and brochures to comprehensive catalogs, each piece is meticulously crafted to engage and inspire. I turn ideas into tangible and impactful printed materials, leaving a lasting impression on every reader.

Colonial Foundations of American National Character Flash Cards

I designed and developed the “Colonial Foundations of American National Character” 54 Deck of Cards for the National Character Association. This project was a comprehensive effort that involved using my knowledge of history to conduct research and write engaging content. Each card reveals pivotal moments, influential figures, and foundational ideas that shaped pre-Revolution America, providing an immersive journey through history.
In addition to the content creation, I meticulously laid out the cards’ design and packaging. This included crafting visually appealing graphics that complemented the historical themes and ensured users an engaging and educational experience. The deck is a valuable resource for history enthusiasts, educators, and anyone interested in exploring the rich tapestry of America’s roots. This project showcases my ability to combine historical research, content writing, and graphic design into a cohesive and captivating educational tool.

While working for Butler Branding I had the opportunity to design these posters and flyers for a campaign to promote dental health in the community which included both English and Hmong-speaking people.
